Primary responsibility of a Recovery Housing/Peer Respite Housing Director will be to ensure a safe, accountable, comfortable, and secure environment for the residents. The director will oversee live in house managers.
Principal Responsibilities:
1 Schedule daily meetings with House Managers to receive daily reports on residents.
2 Ensure house managers are assigning daily chores to residents and are completed/signed off by each resident
3 Complete resident intakes
4 Complete recovery coaching and care coordination with clients
5 Complete individual recovery plans with clients
6 Monitor client’s rooms for cleanliness.
7 Ensure that clients have the items that they need (i.e. linen, hygiene products, clean clothes, etc.).
8 Ensure that all residents are properly respecting rules, regulations, and meeting expectations per handbook (exp: kitchen, bedroom, group room, bathrooms, etc)
9 Observe and report any unusual behaviors or potential areas of conflict between residents.
10 Monitor proper use and functioning of appliances and other household equipment. Observe any unusual activities that may pose a safety or nuisance issue for the clients or neighbors.
11 Maintain inventory of all household supplies (i.e. cleaning supplies, cooking utensils, furniture, household keys etc).
12 Ensure house managers have rooms prepared for the next resident moving in.
13 Review Program and House Rules with all new residents and ensure client compliance with house rules.
14 Facilitate House Meetings, Community Meetings, and a weekend Wrap Up or Life Skills Groups
15 Welcome and introduce new clients to all existing residents.
16 Assist in monitoring LIV property to protect from damage and/or theft.
17 Communicate in a culturally sensitive manner as our client population is diverse.
18 Understand and apply State and Saint Lous City requirements and NARR Recovery Housing Standards
19 Perform other duties as assigned.
20 Ensure recovery housing individuals perform weekly drug screens. Must be random.
21 All program documentation must be completed and submitted to program manager daily.
Requirements:
1 High School Diploma or GED
2 Must be 2 years clean and sober
3 Working knowledge of addiction, mental illness, and homeless
4 Good Verbal written Communication skills
5 Experience with Recovery Housing programs
6 Certified Peer Support Specialist Preferred:
1 Associates Degree
2 Experience in working substance use programWork Environment/Physical Requirements
