Certified Peer Support Specialist

Kinsey Westmoreland

My name is Kinsey and I am a grateful recovering person of substance use disorder. I say grateful because I truly am. I have found a new way to live and a set of principles to live by.

While living in active addiction, I hit many rock bottoms. I was a stranger to myself. My addiction took me through a lot of dark places and I knew I needed to do something different. I just didn’t know how. It took me quite a few treatments and a few different sober living homes. I came to LIV with determination to change my ways. With the help of their program, the 12 steps, and God I started to see positive changes in myself. I started getting the things and relationships back that I had lost along the way. Most importantly, I got myself back.

I am now a Certified Peer and Case Manager for the LIV Recovery program. I have the chance to give back. All the pain and suffering wasn’t for nothing. I now am helping others suffering from this disease and giving them the hope that was given to me.
