Co-founder

Cameo Jones, MRSS, MAADC - MA-Founder

Cameo Jones is the Founder of LIV Recovery Sober Living since 2018. Due to the impacts of addiction on her family, Cameo decided she wanted to be part of the solution to the disease of addiction. She obtained her master’s in counseling in 2014 and her and her husband opened their first women’s recovery home in 2018. Today, LIV Recovery Sober Living has two recovery houses in St. Charles County, one in North St. Louis County and a respite home and outpatient recovery services in North St. Louis City. They serve both men and women clients. They are also opening another recovery house soon.

Derrick Jones Sr., MRSS, CPT, MT - Co-Founder

Derrick has a background in Hospital Management, specifically sterile processing. He has a passion for leadership and building up those around him. Derrick has done an extraordinary job at building the LIV Team and most importantly building the people he serves. Derrick grew up in North City Saint Louis, graduating from Sumner High School. He takes great pride in his community but is also aware of the effects the disease of addiction had on the people he loves dearly and continues to plague his community. With that understanding, a passion was developed to be part of changing the lives of others. That passion then birthed LIV Recovery Sober Living were Derrick uses his relationship building skills to build his community.

- Human Resource Specialist -

Dawn Cotton

Dawn Cotton has over eight years of experience with human resources which has guided her to step into the role at Liv and the community it serves. Originally from Jackson, Mississippi moved to St. Louis graduated from Hazelwood central. Dawn Started off with social work with the nursing community but was quickly elevated to human resource due to her personality and prompt learning skills when navigating through finding resources to help both client and supporting staff.


Her ability to teach herself the skills of office management to
execute the plans and policies needed that enables an organization to operate and grow makes her a great asset to the community. Dawn’s role is vital to the success of our frontline workers allowing them to focus and execute their role for the clients overall well being and journey towards a successful recovery.

- Compliance Offer -

Olivia Dixon

Olivia is our Compliance Officer here at LIV. She has spent her recent years working at various inpatient facilities as a Tech Supervisor. Before embarking on a career in the recovery field, Olivia was a CMT at a long term care facility. She has always felt a strong urge to help others, but the recovery field is especially dear to her as she is in long term recovery herself. Olivia is committed to help others see there is a way out if you remain positive and keep moving forward. She feels grateful to be able to help LIV serve the community of individuals suffering from substance use disorders.

- Clinical Director, L.I.V. Recovery -

Lindsay Jeffries, LPC

Lindsay has over 20 years of experience in the mental health and substance abuse field. Lindsay earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in Sociology from the University of Wyoming and a Master’s degree in Rehabilitation Counseling from Maryville University. Lindsay is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Certified Rehabilitation Counselor. Lindsay has been in senior leadership for the last decade and enjoys building teams of strong and compassionate mental health advocates. Lindsay joined LIV in October 2024 as Clinical Director.

- Housing Supervisor (St.Charles/Hazelwood) -

Amber Killian

I am the LIV recovery housing supervisor, I am also a recovering addict who believes in second chances. I have a passion to guide others in recovery. My goal is to help guide others to reach their full potential and start a new direction in life. The resources I am able to help with go beyond measures. While in sober living you will learn the tools to be successful in your recovery. I’m here to provide a safe and healthy environment so you can be successful in all areas.  I’ve been where you are and I believe it is my gift to help guide and direct others.

- Administrative Assistant -

Felicia Cavins

Felicia is an Administrative Assistant at LIV Sober Living, where she brings her passion and dedication to the recovery field. With over three years of recovery field experience and seven years of personal recovery, Felicia has witnessed firsthand the transformative power of growth and healing. Her journey in recovery has not only shaped her career but also led to significant personal achievements. Felicia is a Certified Peer Support Specialist, and Certified in American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM) , a testament to her commitment to helping others on their recovery journeys. Felicia has a recovery story that can relate to so many. Outside of her professional life, Felicia has a deep interest in collecting crystals and exploring the energies they hold. This hobby reflects her continuous quest for personal growth and understanding of mental health.

- Clinical Supervisor -

Shannon Fore PH.D., LPC

Shannon Fore Ph.D., LPC, is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of  Arizona and Missouri.  Her education consists of a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Arizona State University, a Post Bachelorette degree in Secondary Education from Rio Salado College, a Masters in Professional Counseling from Liberty University, and a Doctorate in Psychology from Grand Canyon University. 

 

 Her research and publication explored the relationship between adverse childhood experiences and juvenile deviance.  Dr. Fore was in private practice for seven years before joining LIV.  In her private practice, she provided forensically informed treatment of intact and divorcing families, assessment and treatment of child maltreatment, individuals who have been sex trafficked,  and the treatment of child, adolescent, and adult psychological disorders.  

 

She has provided a variety of court ordered interventions, custody evaluations, and mental health evaluations within the state of Arizona.  Before entering private practice, Dr. Fore worked in community mental health for six years.  She provided therapy to children and adolescents who were victims of abuse, who were experiencing addictions, and were in the child protective service custody.  

 

Additionally, Dr. Fore has extensive experience in trauma informed care.  She holds certifications in Traumatic Stress Studies and in Acute Stress, Grief, & Trauma and has provided multiple trainings to different organizations on the impact of trauma on the brain.

Nick Randall “Chef Nick”

Chef Nick was born and raised in Saint Louis, Missouri. His mother started him in the kitchen at an early age. As his mother was running a catering service he was on the front lines as her right hand. As a teenager he attended and graduated from Ritenour High School were gives credit to his “people skills” . Chef has an esteemed reputation in the city putting in over 23 years of service in the nightclub/ bar scene while maintaining day jobs at several restaurants. He views his cooking as “Edible Therapy” and loves to serve his community.

Certified Medication Technician

Kendrick Brown

My name is Kendrick Brown, I am a certified med tech here at LIV Recovery. I have been in the medical field for over eight years, starting my career at BJc Healthcare as a specialty patient transporter and patient care tech to then becoming a pharmacy technician. I have since transfered my developed skills along with my personal experience in growing up around those who suffer from the disease of addiction. I feel extremely blessed to be part of the LIV team in serving this population in the community.

Michael Singleton, LPC, M.Ed., NCC

Mike Singleton is a 15 year recovering addict and he is also a therapist. Mike is always joyful and takes what people say to a place where they feel welcome and heard. Mike had been involved with therapy for 5 years now and loves seeing people with hurts, habits, and hang ups of their own. Mike had 2 sons (Jude and Sam) and a wife (Dr. Jennifer who is a principal). He loves movies, funko pops, and working on addiction with open recovering addicts.

Case Manager

Kyle Gibson

Kyle is a dedicated case manager at LIV Recovery, committed to supporting individuals seeking recovery from substance use disorder. Since entering the recovery field in 2021, Kyle has taken on various roles, each deepening his knowledge and commitment to helping others. He combines professional expertise with lived experience to provide effective support to those in need. His passion for helping others drives his dedication to serving the community he calls home. Kyle’s holistic approach and unwavering commitment make him a valuable asset to both the organization and the individuals he is proud to serve.

- Case Manager -

Alaysia Moorehead

Providing help to individuals with substance use disorder hits close to home due to some of the impact it brung upon close family members. Currently, Alaysia has two licenses with the nursing community- Certified nursing assistant and Medications technician. Alaysia grew up in south city St.Louis, Graduating from Roosevelt highschool with Mers excel diploma program.

 

She is a proud St.Louis an and she is familiar with the struggles of substance abuse that has plagued loved ones and many more in her community and has created the motivation and passion to help change lives and help fight the battle with those struggling with addiction. Being involved with this organization has brought peace and happiness to Alaysia knowing the skills she has learned over the years and being able to interact with and provide help to the community.

Leisa Hagan

My name is Leisa, I am a Certified Peer Specialist with 14 years in long term recovery! I have been in and out of addiction from the time I was 18 years old. While in active addiction, I lost my children, my family, I was homeless and eventually incarcerated. Recovery has given me a chance at a life I never thought I deserved. If I can use my experiences to help another person find their way, it gives purpose to my suffering. Please allow me the opportunity to use my journey, to help you find your way to recovery and take back your life!

Breanna Crews

As a Certified Peer Specialist and a dedicated advocate in the field of addiction recovery, I bring a deeply personal understanding of the challenges and triumphs associated with overcoming addiction. With a clean date of April 22, 2022, my own journey of recovery fuels my commitment to supporting others on their path to freedom from addiction. My experience enables me to offer empathetic guidance and practical strategies to help individuals navigate obstacles, achieve their recovery goals, and find a new way to live.

My name is Ricky and I have 22 months in recovery from substance use and lifestyle choices that kept me from reaching my highest potential. Since being in recovery, I have committed to being a valuable member within the St. Louis community by mentoring youth, facilitating anger and stress management courses, and beginning my peer support career with LIV. This type of work is allowing me to serve others, and give back what was once given to me.

My name is James E. Word. I am a Behavior Health Support major. After struggling to break free from the chains of addiction for most of  my life, I finally found a new way of living without the use of substances. Tony Bishop

My name is Tony Bishop (Bishop). I’m in recovery with a substance use disorder and reformed criminal from North City Saint Louis which helps me identify with clients we serve in our community. In my process of recovery I’m finding and learning myself and hopefully in turn I inspire someone to do the same.  To Live In Victory (LIV), is to live in truth and hope, which is what we intend to provide to the clients we serve. 

Peer Transport/Grounds Keeper

Alex Dixon

Alex is our Peer Transport/Grounds Keeper for our Hillsboro home here at LIV. He is dedicated to making a positive impact in supporting those who live with substance use disorders and mental health. He brings over 3 years of valuable experience in the treatment industry. Alex is currently on a journey towards becoming a certified nutritionist and personal trainer, aiming to inspire and guide others in achieving their health and wellbeing goals. He is eager to combine his passion for helping people with his expertise in nutrition and fitness to support others on their wellness journey to long term recovery.

Joseph Rachel

Joseph Rachel is a 22 year recovering addict who has faced the challenges of addiction head-on. Despite Joseph’s own struggles, he still finds joy in helping those in need. However, Joseph’s true passion lies in guiding others who are battling addiction.

My name is Will Brown, I’m an Intake Specialist at the LIV Sober living Facility. I was born in Saint Louis, Missouri. I’m a Recovering Addict who has over a year, who loves helping people to the best of my ability, and achieving goals that I once thought were impossible. The obstacles and challenges that I face on a daily basis have helped me to become the individual that I am

today. 


I will continue on this journey of life to continue to be a beacon of hope to anyone that desires to find a new way to live. I would like to achieve my Certified Peer Support License so I can further my Career and continue to help other people which is the best gift we could ever receive.
