The Maintenance and Safety Worker is responsible for performing routine maintenance, repairs, and safety inspections on the premises.
This role ensures the building is safe, clean, and functional by addressing repairs, conducting preventive maintenance, and adhering to safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities:•
General Maintenance:
Perform routine maintenance and repair tasks such as plumbing, electrical, HVAC, painting, and carpentry.
• Preventive Maintenance: Conduct scheduled inspections of building systems and equipment, identify potential issues, and perform necessary preventive maintenance.
• Safety Inspections: Regularly inspect the premises for potential hazards, including fire safety equipment, electrical hazards, and structural safety concerns.
• Repairs: Address repair needs promptly to ensure minimal disruption to operations, including emergency repairs when required.
• Compliance and Safety: Adhere to OSHA and company safety regulations, ensure proper signage and safety equipment, and conduct safety drills as needed.
• Inventory Management: Maintain an inventory of maintenance supplies and tools, reorder as necessary, and track equipment usage and maintenance logs.
• Facilities Upkeep: Ensure cleanliness and proper functionality of common areas, restrooms, and outdoor spaces.
• Emergency Response: Act as a first responder to facility-related emergencies, including spills, equipment malfunctions, or fire hazards.
• Documentation: Record and report maintenance activities, safety incidents, and equipment inspections in accordance with company policies.
• Coordination with Vendors: Work with external contractors for complex repairs or specialized maintenance tasks when required.
Qualifications:• Education: High school diploma or equivalent; trade certifications (e.g., HVAC, plumbing, electrical) are a plus.
• Experience: 1-3 years of experience in maintenance, facilities, or safety roles.
• Skills:
• Knowledge of building systems (e.g., plumbing, electrical, HVAC).
• Basic understanding of OSHA and safety regulations.

• Ability to work independently and respond to emergencies.
